Why am I getting "No SkyCaddie Found" when I try to sync?
NOTE: If you have a SkyCaddie SX500, SX400, SX550, LX2 or LX5 device, please SYNC your unit via Wi-Fi for the latest updates.
If you receive a "No SkyCaddie Found" error message when syncing your SkyCaddie TOUCH using the enclosed SkyCaddie USB cable, this may be the result of outdated USB 3.0 drivers on your computer. USB 3.0 ports are typically blue or labeled "SuperSpeed USB".
If your computer provides both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, please plug your SkyCaddie TOUCH into a USB 2.0 port and try to sync again.
If you continue to receive "No SkyCaddie Found" errors, you may need to update the USB drivers for your computer or you may have a high security software on your PC/MAC which is stopping your computer from being able to locate your SkyCaddie. Please contact the computer manufacturer for help with this update.
RENESAS USB 3.0 CONTROLLER ISSUES
If your computer is using the Renesas USB 3.0 controller, and your Renesas driver is older than version 2.1.16.0, your USB 3.0 ports will not detect your SkyCaddie TOUCH. This is a known bug with older Renesas drivers not properly working with libusb, which is how the SkyCaddie TOUCH communicates with your computer.
In this case, we recommend plugging your SkyCaddie TOUCH into a USB 2.0 port and trying again.
Some SkyGolf customers have also successfully updated their Renesas USB 3.0 controller driver to fix this issue. However, this update is not supported by SkyGolf. See this link for more information: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=19880
