How Do I Add Favorite Courses to My SkyCaddie Handheld?
Adding your favorite golf courses to your SkyCaddie handheld is simple and can be done directly via Wi-Fi or through your SkyGolf account.
Add Courses via Wi-Fi on Your Device:
- From the main menu, tap PLAY GOLF.
- Choose from Nearby Courses, Favorites, or use the Search function.
- Once the course is selected, press the UPDATE button.
- The course will download and appear in your Favorites with a Wi-Fi icon, indicating it was updated online.
Add Courses via SkyGolf.com:
- Log in to your account at SkyGolf.com.
- Click COURSES in the top menu and search for your desired course.
- Select your course(s), then choose Download via Wi-Fi above the course list.
- Sync your handheld device to complete the update.
Managing Your Favorite Courses:
On the SkyCaddie PRO 5X, you’ll notice two types of favorite courses:
- Heart icon: Courses downloaded from SkyGolf.com
- Wi-Fi icon: Courses updated directly through your device
Note: Removing a course from the website will delete it from your device on the next sync.
Courses added via Wi-Fi do not count toward your 50-course limit and don’t need to be removed—they take up minimal space.

Charging in OFF mode:
1)Turn Off Pro 5X
2) Connect USB charging cable to Pro 5X and plug into outlet
3) Screen will show battery charging indicator (5 secs)
4) Quick press the POWER button to show the current battery level

How Do I Load a Membership to My SkyCaddie?
Still seeing notifications to Activate or Renew after purchasing a membership? Here’s how to ensure your SkyCaddie is updated:
Step 1: Activate Your Membership
- Open the confirmation email from your membership purchase.
- Click the “Activate” button included in the email.
Alternatively, you can activate your membership by logging into your account at SkyGolf.com or by calling our support team.
Step 2: Sync Your SkyCaddie
Once your membership is activated:
- On your SkyCaddie, go to the Main Menu
- Select SYNC
- Choose Wi-Fi SYNC to update your device with the new membership status

How Do I Connect My SkyCaddie to Wi-Fi?
No computer or USB cable needed! You can connect your SkyCaddie to Wi-Fi in just a few easy steps:
Wi-Fi Setup Instructions:
- Power on your SkyCaddie device.
- From the Main Menu, select SYNC.
- Tap Wi-Fi Sync.
- Select Set Up Wi-Fi.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter your network password and tap Connect.
- Once your sync is complete, select CLOSE to finish.
That’s it! Your SkyCaddie is now connected and ready to update courses, sync rounds, and more—all wirelessly.
How to turn on/off Auto Scoring?
- From the Main Screen,
- Select Play Golf
- Choose the Course to Play
- Select Play Now
- Choose Round Options
- Select Auto-Hole> Options ON >OFF> Scoring ON.
- Start Round

How to Register the SkyCaddie PRO 5X
- Power on your PRO 5X.
- On the Home screen, select the “Register” button.

What memberships are compatible with the Pro 5X?

How do I lock the screen on the PRO 5X?
- Locking the screen on the PRO 5X is as easy as doing a quick press to the power button.
- Once that is pressed, a red/white lock symbol will appear on your screen so that you know that it is locked.
- To unlock, simply quick-press the power button again.

How to Set Pins & Zones
Dial in your accuracy with customizable pin placements! There are several ways to set pins on your SkyCaddie device:
- Preset Green Zones – Use built-in zones for quick setup.
- Pin Sheets – Manually input pin positions based on your course’s pin sheet.
- Adjust as You Play – Update pins on the go for real-time accuracy.
Setting accurate pin placements gives you precise distances to the front, center, and back of the green—plus better Strokes Gained data to track your performance like a pro.
