Unmatched accuracy begins with high-precision, ground-corrected course maps.
Only from SkyCaddie!
What Sets SkyCaddie Apart?
While there are many golf GPS rangefinders available on the market, several features set SkyCaddie apart from its competitors.

No GPS-only product can be more accurate than a map.
Which is why SkyCaddie works to provide golfers with the most up-to-date information possible.
Only SkyCaddie sends professionally trained mappers to walk golf courses with professional-grade GPS equipment to create original course maps, accurate to
within 1 meter.
Each mapper has been trained using curriculum created by Mark Long, a veteran PGA Tour caddy and respected tour yardage book author for the PGA Tour.
We’ve been doing this for over 20 years because we know this is the only way to provide the accuracy that all golfers deserve.

For precise location information, ground mapping GPS coordinates far surpasses satellite imagery for reasons such as:

Try making an accurate map from these images! It’s impossible.

SkyCaddie
That is why SkyCaddie does not sacrifice the accuracy we provide to our customers.
There’s GPS and then there’s SkyCaddie GPS
Not only do we supply the most complete, reliable, and precise course maps in the game, but each week, month, year we continue
to update courses all over the world using our same, precise methodology.
SkyGolf Membership
It’s true, SkyCaddie does have a nominally priced yearly membership fee. We take the extra step of sending trained professionals to each course to captureall the data we provide on our GPS product.
SkyCaddie maintains a comprehensive database of golf courses that includes detailed maps, hazards, yardages, and other crucial information. The membership fee allows the company to keep this data up-to-date by regularly surveying and verifying courses, ensuring that users have access to accurate information.
The membership fee supports the ongoing development of new products, features, and improvements to SkyCaddie devices and software. This helps the company stay competitive in the market and provide the best possible experience to its users.
The membership fee helps SkyCaddie provide dedicated customer support to its users, ensuring that they have access to assistance whenever they need it.
SkyCaddie memberships may offer premium features and benefits that are not available to users who do not pay for a subscription. These features could include advanced course management tools, more in-depth statistics, and integration with other platforms and services.
Why others don't charge a fee
If the “free” GPS maps were good enough for serious golfers, they would
not be free!
The cost compared to creating data behind a computer is significantly less than sending trained technicians to walk each course. We incur those costs to guarantee the data we provide on our GPS products is of the highest accuracy standard. We don’t take shortcuts that could jeopardize the quality of information you receive.
Most other GPS rangefinder products use second and third generation maps derived from third-party aerial imagery which has been proven to contain errors. With bad and unclear visibility on those maps, making an accurate course measurement is nearly impossible. The best way to correct those errors when present is to have accurate control points that have been captured on the ground.
Most of these companies share the same inaccurate course libraries. Their theory is ‘close enough is good enough’. We don’t share that notion. SkyGolf knows that no Tour Players use yardage books derived from satellite images or flyovers. Neither should amateur golfers. Tour players trust only a map that has been walked and so should amateurs.
Other products know they are inaccurate. One golf GPS manufacturer spells it out in their user documentation inside the box with each product:
“****** uses a combination of government and private data sources. Virtually all data sources contain some inaccurate or incomplete data. In some countries, complete and accurate map information is either not available or is prohibitively expensive.”

Follow them as they map courses all over the world:

Why it Matters
Each year thousands of courses all over the world make changes such as removing and reshaping bunkers, making changes to hazards or complete redesigns of golf holes and greens. Some changes are small, but others are incredibly significant to your game.
Imagine playing a course where they have extended a hazard into the fairway or added new bunkers. From the tee, that information is important. How frustrating is it to hit a great tee shot and end up in a hazard or short of the green because your course map is not up to date? This is exactly why we actively ask golf facilities for updates to their courses so we can continually provide the most up to date information possible to our customers.
And, of course, we like to spoil our customers with other benefits. Member Benefits vary depending on the subscription you choose and your area.
Memberships may include free golf balls, 24/7 access to our SkyGolf 360 Cloud, SkyGolf 360 Mobile App, SkyCaddie Mobile App, and a free GOLF Magazine subscription.
