LX5 GPS Issues

A firmware update has been released. Please follow the steps below to get your LX5 updated:

Before you start

  • Time: Plan for about 15–20 minutes (varies by Wi-Fi speed).
  • Battery: Charge your LX5 to 50%+ (or keep it on the charger).
  • Connection: Have Wi-Fi available.

How to update your LX5

  1. Make sure your LX5 is Fully charged or at least to 50% (or keep it on the charger).
  2. Important: Set the correct time on your LX5. Go to Menu > Settings > Time > Set Time > Select Time Zone - From here you select your UTC zone, then select Time Zone, set hours/minutes and AM/PM, set month/day/year
  3. Next, In the menu, scroll and select SYNC and choose Wi-Fi update
  4. Connect to Wi-Fi on your LX5. (Instructions for setting up Wi-Fi are below)
  5. When prompted with Update tap update and follow the on-screen steps.
  6. Do not power off during the update.
  7. When finished, restart your LX5 to complete installation.

How to confirm you’re updated

Your LX5 should show one of the following:

OS update number:

  • For LX5 with ESN starting AB1 through AB5 it will be 1.1.14 OS
  • For LX5 with ESN starting AB6 through AB7 it will be 1.2.14 OS

To find this go too Menu > Info > Versions

To confirm all is working well, go outside, choose play golf and with a clear sky view for 5–10 minutes to reacquire satellites you will have nearby courses now appear.

If you don’t see the update or still have issues

  • Restart the LX5 and try again on a strong Wi-Fi network.
  • Make sure the watch has 50%+ battery.
  • If problems continue, please contact our support team for help.
