How Do I Send Log Files from My LX5?
To send log files from your LX5, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the MENU button
2. Scroll to Settings
3. Select System
4. Choose Diagnostics
5. Tap Submit Logs
6. Then select Submit
👉 Don’t forget to SYNC your LX5 via Wi-Fi or USB to complete the process and send the log files.

Is the LX5 Waterproof?
The SkyCaddie LX5 has a 3 ATM water resistance rating, which means it can handle splashes, rain, snow, and everyday water exposure on the course.
However, it's not recommended for swimming, snorkeling, or diving.

Manual Shot Tracking with Your SkyCaddie LX5
To start using shot tracking on your LX5, follow these steps:
- Log in to your SkyGolf 360 account and set up your golf bag.
- On your LX5, tap Golf from the main menu.
- Scroll down to Settings > Track Shots, and turn the feature ON.
- Tap the back arrow and start a new round.
- Once the course loads, you’ll see a golf ball icon in the bottom-left corner.
- Tap the icon before your shot, and tap it again when you reach your ball.
- Repeat this for each shot you want to track during your round.
- After your round, sync your LX5 via Wi-Fi to upload your data to SkyGolf 360.
You’ll be able to view your full round and stats from your SkyGolf 360 account!

Why Does My LX5 Keep Asking If I’m Finished with Every Hole?
Even with Auto Hole Advance turned on, your LX5 may still ask, “Are you finished with Hole X?” (e.g., Hole 10).
This is just a prompt. If you don’t tap the screen, the watch will automatically advance to the next hole after a few moments.

What If My LX5 Is Frozen or Stuck on a Screen?
If your LX5 is frozen on the logo screen or unresponsive:
- Hold down the power button for 8 seconds to force a reset.
- The device should restart and function normally.
- After restarting, it's helpful to send log files so our team
can review the issue.
How to Send Log Files:
- Press and hold the MENU button
- Go to Settings
- Select System
- Choose Diagnostics
- Tap Submit Logs, then Submit
- Sync your LX5 via Wi-Fi or USB to complete the process

Why Does My LX5 Screen Go Blank?
This is caused by the Auto Dim feature, which automatically reduces screen brightness after a set time to help extend battery life.
How to Adjust the Auto Dim Settings:
- Go to Settings
- Select System
- Choose Auto Dim
- Select your preferred screen timeout:
- 10 seconds
-15 seconds
-20 seconds
-30 seconds
-45 seconds
-60 seconds
-Never

Does the LX5 Connect via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?
Yes! The SkyCaddie LX5 uses both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for syncing course updates, scorecards, and membership information.

How Do I Charge My LX5 SkyCaddie Watch?
Charging your LX5 is quick and easy when following these guidelines:
Charging Time & Safety
- A fully discharged battery will recharge in 1–2 hours.
- Do not leave your LX5 on the charger or connected to a USB port for more than 24 hours.
- Avoid charging in hot environments (direct sunlight, near stoves, fires, or other heat sources).
Prep Before Charging
- Ensure charging contacts and the surrounding area are dry and free of dirt or debris to prevent corrosion and ensure a proper connection.
- It’s best to fully charge your LX5 before each round.
Use Only Authorized Chargers
- Only use the official AC charger and USB cable provided with your LX5.
- SkyGolf does not recommend charging via computer USB ports.
- When using a wall charger, make sure it supports 100–240V input and 5.0V output.
How to Charge Your LX5
- Use the enclosed magnetic clip/USB charging cable.
- Align the magnetic clip with the charging contacts on the back of the LX5.
- Plug the USB end into a wall charger or USB port.
- If connected correctly, the CHARGE screen will appear. When fully charged, you'll see 100% Charge displayed.

A Golf Course on My Favorites List Has an Update — What Should I Do?
If a course you play has been updated, follow these steps to sync the latest version to your LX5:
Update Directly on Your LX5:
- On your device, go to: Menu > Settings > Courses
- Select Map Pack to view your current version.
- Choose Update to install the latest map version.
Update via Your SkyGolf Account:
- Log in to your SkyGolf 360 account.
- Click on Courses in the top menu, then select My Courses.
- If the course isn’t already on your list, add it.
- On the right side of the course listing, select the course
for download. - On your LX5, go to: Menu > Sync to Wi-Fi to update the
course on your device.

Is There a Reset Button for the LX5?
The LX5 doesn't have a physical reset button, but you can restart or reset the device using the Power button based on its current state:
How to Reset or Restart the LX5:
- To Turn On the LX5: When the watch is off, hold the Power button for 4 seconds.
- To Power Off the LX5: When the watch is on, hold the Power button for 2 seconds until the power-off prompt appears.
- If the LX5 Is Frozen or Unresponsive: Hold the Power button for 8 seconds to force a restart.

How Do I Clean the Charging Port on My LX5 Watch?
To maintain a strong charging connection, it's important to clean the charging port on the back of your SkyCaddie LX5 regularly. Follow these simple steps to remove any buildup or tarnish from the gold contacts on the back of your LX5:
Step 1:
Moisten a clean cotton Q-Tip® with isopropyl alcohol.
Use only enough alcohol to dampen the swab — do not soak it.
Step 2:
Gently scrub the four gold contact points on the underside of your LX5.
Important: Only clean the contact points. Avoid
applying alcohol to other areas, as this could damage the device.
Step 3:
Keep scrubbing the contacts with clean, alcohol-dampened swabs until they are
shiny and no more debris is picked up.
📌 Tip: Be sure both the watch port and USB charging clip are dry before reconnecting.
